Hi friends, my name is Casey Rinkenberger and I am so excited to welcome you to the Instruments of Worship podcast. This is a podcast dedicated to encouraging and equipping classical musicians to lift high the name of Jesus with their instruments but also their lives. All right guys, so today's episode looks obviously a little different than normal ones do. I'm sorry my voice sounds a little strange. I've been sick this week which is Never fun. But here we are. So I have an update for you all about the podcast specifically today. First, I want to say I'm so thankful. I don't know about you, but I feel like the Lord has taught me a lot in this past semester of just starting this podcast and getting to study these specific topics that relate to Christian classical musicians. And then on top of that, having amazing conversations with people who just absolutely love the Lord are sold out for him in the music world. And it's just been such an encouragement. that you have felt more encouraged and equipped. I know that through my study and through my conversations, I certainly have. But the fact of the matter is that getting these podcasts up week after week takes a lot of time and a lot of effort that is hard to find in the middle of teaching a full load of students, playing in quartets and symphonies and practice and being involved in leading Bible studies and keeping my home and pouring into friends, family, and obviously, most importantly, my husband. So as we go into summer here, I've just decided to take a break from the podcast. Summer for most of us is very busy, super fun, but super busy. And schedules just don't have the same sort of routine that they usually do in the school year. And so I still want to be able to fully just enjoy the flexibility and the fun and the busyness that comes with summer. And so I just have decided to take a break from the podcast for the summer. And I think for the longevity of the podcast, this is just a wise call for me right now. So I still plan to bring it back up in the fall, what you might think of season two. I've seen podcasts that have done that, like they go by seasons. And so maybe what we could consider is this last semester is season one of the podcast. And then come the fall, hopefully around the school time, starting back up, we could jump into what might be known as season two of the Instruments of Worship podcast. So get excited for that. But in the meantime, there are 19 amazing episodes that you can still enjoy and listen to over the summer. I really encourage you to catch up on any episodes that you might have missed and share them. Maybe go through some discussion questions with friends. Sit down, listen to a podcast in the car and talk about it. These are conversations that are so good to have and hopefully really uplifting for both for anybody involved. So as we look forward to the fall, feel free to message me if you have any ideas of speakers or topics or just other things that you might want discussed in future episodes of this podcast. Maybe some ideas or directions Thank you so much. that Psalm 34 would be true of us. And I'm gonna read that now. The first three verses say, I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul will make its boast in the Lord. The humble will hear it and rejoice. Exalt the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together. So I pray that no matter what we do this summer, that our heart would still be full of worship, whether we have an instrument in our hands or we're going and we're doing vacations or camps or other things still going to work, whatever it is, I pray that we could still have worship in our hearts for the Lord and that we would always be exalting his name on our own, but also along with other people, just like it says at the end there. And that at all times, whether the highs or the lows of life, that we would bless the Lord and that we would just praise him continually, no matter what life looks like, that there would just be a constant theme of worship throughout our lives. So I pray that that would be true of you and for me this summer, no matter what we're doing. So I will sure look forward to seeing you next fall for another season of the Instruments of Worship podcast.
